# Analyze selected contributions

## Focus the AI analysis on selected ideas, themes, or categories instead of analyzing the entire activity.

In many activities, you may want to analyze a specific part of the collected material rather than all contributions.

Use **Include selected contributions only** to limit the analysis to the contributions you have selected.

### How it works

1. Open the list of all contributions
2. Activate **Selection mode**
3. Select the ideas you want to analyze
4. Open **Ask Vocean**
5. Select **Include selected contributions only**
6. Enter your question

Vocean AI will then analyze only the selected contributions.

### When is this useful?

Analyzing selected contributions is particularly useful when you want to:

- Explore a specific theme in greater detail
- Compare different groups of contributions
- Focus on the most appreciated ideas
- Analyze a particular category

### Tip

A smaller set of contributions can sometimes produce a more focused and useful analysis.
