# Add and invite members

## Invite new people to your Vocean space by creating memberships and sending an invitation via email.

To add a new member, go to **Members** in the side menu, and under the **Members** tab, click **Add member**.

### **How to do it**

1. Click **Add member**
2. Enter the person's email address
3. Send the invitation

The invited person will then receive an invitation to join the space.

### **When should you invite someone to become a member?**

It's a good idea when the person will:

- Work in Vocean on a regular basis
- Get access to multiple activities
- Be a leader or administrator

### Tip:

Before inviting many users, it can be helpful to consider which roles and permissions they should have.
