What is Flow?

Flow is Vocean’s activity for building a connected participant journey. By combining different steps, you can collect contributions, let participants interact with the content, and refine the results.

In the Flow tab, you build the experience that participants will go through in the activity. Each step has its own purpose and can be adapted to what you want to collect or ask participants to do.

A flow can include:

  • Information and instructions
  • Collection of new contributions
  • Opportunities to like contributions
  • Rating of contributions

You add the steps in the order in which participants should encounter them. This allows you to create an activity that moves from introduction and collection to interaction and refinement.

When should I use Flow?

Use Flow when you want to:

  • Combine several stages in one activity
  • Guide participants through a clear sequence of steps
  • Collect ideas, needs, or opinions
  • Let participants respond to contributions
  • Rate content using a shared scale

Which steps can I add?

In Flow, you can choose between:

  • Instruction
  • Collect
  • Like
  • Rate
  • Let AI suggest

The steps you choose depend on the purpose of the activity and what participants should do.

Tip:
Start by defining what participants should have accomplished when they reach the end of the flow. Then choose the steps that lead to that result.
