What are members in Vocean?

Members are people who have their own user account in your Vocean space. As a member, you can follow activities, take part in processes, and, depending on your permissions, manage content in the platform.

In Vocean, you can invite people as members to your organization's space.

Unlike participants who join via links or QR codes, members get their own account and can log in to the platform.

What can a member do?

As a member, you can:

  • Take part in activities
  • Follow processes
  • Access content shared with the space
  • Manage your own participation

Member or participant?

Member

  • Has their own account
  • Logs in to Vocean
  • Can be assigned roles and permissions

Participant

  • Can take part via a link or QR code
  • Doesn't need an account
  • Has limited access

When should you use members?

Members are the best fit when people:

  • Will use Vocean regularly
  • Will take part in multiple activities
  • Need administrative access
  • Will collaborate on processes

Tip:
Use membership for people who will work in Vocean on a regular basis. For temporary participants, participant links are often enough.
